The Audi Q6 e-tron has arrived and will be available for purchase in the UK starting from 30th April 2024. Pricing begins at £68,975 for the entry-level Quattro, while the more dynamic SQ6 starts at £92,950. Anticipate the arrival of a high-performance RSQ6 in the near future.
This model marks the debut of Audi's new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) technology, developed jointly with Porsche, targeting the mid-sized electric SUV market, akin to the Tesla Model Y.
Propulsion comes from dual electric motors, delivering 382bhp and enabling the Q6 to reach 62mph in 5.9 seconds. The SQ6 boasts a peak of 509bhp with launch control, achieving 0-62mph in just 4.3 seconds. Equipped with a 100kWh battery, the Q6 offers a range of up to 381 miles, surpassing the Model Y by approximately 50 miles. Charging is swift, with 158 miles added in 10 minutes and a 10-80% recharge completed in 21 minutes.
In terms of design, the Q6 maintains Audi's signature long wheelbase and short overhangs, featuring bold wheel arches, intricate bodywork details, and sharp Matrix headlights. The rear showcases Audi's advanced digital OLED tail lights, offering customisable animations.
Inside, the cabin boasts quilted seats, ambient lighting, and premium materials, complemented by Audi's freestanding panoramic screen integrating an 11.9in driver's display and a 14.5in multimedia unit. Additionally, a 10.9in display caters to the front passenger.
Enhanced with voice-controlled Audi Assistant, offering over 800 commands, and a 22-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system, the Q6 ensures a luxurious driving experience. Standard safety features include swerve and turn assist, autonomous emergency braking, and Park Assist Plus for effortless parking manoeuvres. With 526 litres of storage space, expandable to 1,000 litres with the rear bench folded, plus a 64-litre frunk, the Q6 offers ample cargo capacity for various needs.
