Lamborghini Urus SE: The first Plug-in Hybrid Super SUV

An incredible driving experience

The Urus SE delivers an unmatched driving experience, enhanced by its plug-in hybrid system that boosts performance and handling across all terrains and conditions. Innovative features like the electric torque vectoring system between the axles and the electronic rear differential provide more torque and power at any rpm, ensuring superior dynamics.

The twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine has been meticulously re-engineered to work seamlessly with the electric powertrain, delivering 620 CV (456 kW) of power and 800 Nm of torque. Paired with the electric powertrain, which produces 192 CV (141 kW) and 483 Nm of torque, the system achieves a combined output of 800 CV. The calibration between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor has been fine-tuned to provide an optimal power curve across all driving modes and surfaces. A 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery is positioned beneath the load floor, above the electronically-controlled rear differential.

The permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor, integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission, can function as a boost for the V8 engine or as a traction source, enabling the Urus SE to operate as a fully electric 4WD vehicle with a range of over 60 km in EV mode.

Design

The Urus SE reinterprets the design principles of a model that revolutionised SUV aesthetics, with updated lines specifically aimed at enhancing aerodynamic efficiency.

The design emphasises dynamic form, highlighting the vehicle’s sportiness and muscularity. The front section features a newly designed hood with a floating appearance, where the seamless design creates a sense of continuity and enhances the Urus SE's athletic look, echoing the fresh styling concepts seen in the Revuelto. Other updates include headlight clusters with matrix LED technology, introducing a new light signature inspired by the Lamborghini bull's tail, along with a redesigned bumper and front grille.

Aerodynamic efficiency has been further enhanced with newly designed under-body air vents and updated air ducts, which channel increased airflow to cool the engine and mechanical components, achieving a 15% improvement over the original Urus. The redesigned front section, along with optimised aerodynamics underneath the vehicle, has also significantly improved airflow management for the braking system, resulting in 30% better air cooling compared to the previous system.

Interior

The cabin has been refreshed to emphasise Lamborghini's signature "feel like a pilot" design philosophy, incorporating new features throughout the front section of the dashboard and enhancing the lightweight sensation first introduced in the Revuelto.

A larger 12.3-inch screen now sits at the centre of the dashboard, featuring an updated version of the Human Machine Interface (HMI) with more intuitive controls and graphics aligned with those of the Revuelto. Lamborghini Centro Stile designers also focused on refining details such as the air vents, anodised aluminium trim elements with the iconic Y shape, and new coverings for the panel, seats, and dashboard. The mechanical pushbutton panel offers a more tactile experience.

The driver benefits from a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the 12.3-inch touchscreen display at the centre of the dashboard, which serves as the core of the Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS). This system includes a dedicated telemetry function for the SE and new displays for the driving assistance system, improving awareness of the surrounding environment.

Due to its popularity, availability in the UK for the Lamborghini Urus SE is extremely limited. Thanks to our connections with authorised dealerships, we can still secure this sought-after model!

Remember, Due to the car being a plug-in hybrid, it produces significantly less CO2. This gains access to the 12% benefit-in-kind tax band.
