ANOTHER NEW RELEASE WITH THE RANGE ROVER SV

Introducing the latest arrival in the Range Rover Sport line up - the performance flagship that takes the crown as the fastest and most powerful production Range Rover to date. With supercar-like performance packed into its 2560kg frame, this exceptional vehicle boasts a 626bhp 4.4-litre V8 engine. Dubbed the SV and crafted by JLR's Special Vehicles team, it represents the epitome of dynamic prowess and technological advancement within the sports SUV segment. This remarkable iteration, based on the latest-generation Range Rover Sport, marks one of Land Rover's final combustion-powered offerings, as the brand gears up for an electric future.

Next year, JLR is set to unveil a Range Rover EV, followed by the electrification of the Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover Sport, Evoque, and Velar by 2025.

Meanwhile, the SV surges forward with its twin-turbocharged and mildly hybridized

4.4-litre BMW-derived engine, generating an impressive output of 626bhp, surpassing its predecessor, the SVR, which boasted 542bhp. With a peak torque of 590lb ft, the SV sprints from 0-62mph in a mere 3.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 180mph, all propelled by an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive system.

Notable design modifications include widened tracks, a refreshed front bumper and grille treatment, side skirts, and a rear bumper adorned with four round exhaust outlets. For enhanced performance, Special Vehicles provides the option of carbon-ceramic brakes featuring eight-piston calipers and carbon-fibre wheels, effectively reducing unsprung mass by 70kg. Despite its focus on sporty driving, the SV maintains Land Rover's renowned off-road-centric terrain response system and retains a towing capacity of 3500kg. The chassis, based on the P530 model, has been lowered by 10mm and incorporates air suspension along with a linked hydraulic system that effectively controls pitch and roll movements.

The SV delivers impressive lateral acceleration, accompanied by all-season Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. Road-oriented drive modes, an electronically controlled rear differential, active rear steer, and a quickened steering ratio further enhance the driving experience. Inside the cabin, the S showcases new seats with integrated head restraints, a smaller steering wheel featuring an S button, and the option of front seat transducers for music transmission. In the UK, JLR's Edition 1 models, priced around £169,000, have already sold out, with initial customer deliveries scheduled before the year's end.
